SCHNEE-MOREHEAD, INC. ANNOUNCES A NEW TECHNOLOGY

Schnee-Morehead, Inc. announces an innovative new technology in backbedding sealant for the window industry, Perma Bed 2000®.

Perma Bed 2000^®, a warm-applied curing acrylic sealant, is unlike any other backbedding sealant available today.  Its unique properties provide superior adhesion to glass and all known window substrates (vinyl, wood, aluminum and composites), surpassing the performance of existing products available on the market.

Its fast green strength drastically increases production as the units can be moved immediately after application, yet allows for up to thirty minutes of open work time.

It is easy to apply using either a five- or a fifty-gallon pump or by using an automated XY glazing table system.  Its low temperature application means that it is immediately cool to the touch, can be applied vertically, and minimal squeeze-out means less clean up.  Clean up is fast and easy.  Faster and easier clean up saves the manufacturer time, and Perma Bed 2000^® doesn’t etch glass like other sealants can.

Its non-yellowing, water-clear color blends with any substrate, yet is completely paintable and stainable.  It is IG compatible, UV resistant, meets AAMA specifications, is VOC compliant and exhibits no objectionable odor, important features for today’s window manufacturer.
